The Washington County Association of Township Officials has been an organization of Second-Class Township leadership for over 100 years. The members of the Association include Elected Officials such as Supervisors, Auditors, and Tax Collectors and Appointed Officials such as Administrators, Managers, and Public Works Employees. An Executive Board of nine members representing all corners of the County oversee the Annual Convention hosted to gather all officials for an educational session and appreciation dinner. Vendors throughout the area who serve the municipalities likewise participate at the convention showcasing their products as well as providing donations and giveaways for all who attend. The Executive Board also provides other educational sessions throughout the year to township officials to keep them apprised of regulations, policies, and the changing environment of local government. The mission of the Association is to continue to provide learning and networking opportunities for at least the next 100 years.
